The hardest part of raising small athletes is the investment in everyday meal planning. Not only is it hard to do and time-consuming but in the day and age that we live it is almost imperative to do so as we learn every day that the chemicals and bioengineered things put into our foods are causing so many medical problems. Learning to eat right is an adventure of its own because we need to find not only healthy options but also affordable ones. I have found since my accident I am not as resistant to sickness and other fun little problems like I used to be so we are making these meals with not only our children in mind but also ourselves as adults.
Once a week on Saturdays we will post a blog that is aimed at meal planning for the next week. This will include recipes of meals along with some information on the meals as we come try them ourselves. We are hoping that through this we become better at meal planning and feeding our children athletes better and setting them up for success not only in training but also in nutrition.
