Needless to say, we have been a slow-moving group this week after a long weekend away to Huntsville. We haven’t done a ton as a family this week besides fighting children to complete their chores. We have spent a bunch of time reading what Zoey needs to do to improve for long course season starting in March along with setting up everything we need for the soccer season to start next week.
I did finally get to clean my garage. I have meant for months to get out and get the garage cleaned from the last year of throwing stuff in it. So I got to work and got it all cleaned out and organized. While doing this, I found the raised bed that I had bought the stuff to make this summer but never put cut and made. So I spent the afternoon making a raised bed that took a little over an hour to put together. Looking outside, I realize we are getting close to garden planting season. The little southern grandma’s all told me not to plant till the freeze around Easter. So I plan on starting the garden the week after Easter, and I am sure the updates on that may end up right here in this blog.
The big reason for my cleanup is one that I needed to do to clear my work area for the next couple of weeks. I recently read that a cluttered space causes depression and I already have issues with that without giving myself more reasons to have depression. So I cleaned up the area and got the wood for the raised bed cut and put together and the raised bed put into place in the backyard. I will be spending the next couple weeks in the garage building a puppet stage for the junior church. This is my and my wife’s next step for our plans to get the kids to remember the lessons we teach them. So we hope to use some puppets along with the other things we are already doing to help teach the children on the church the most important lessons we are charged by God to do.
I will definitely show yall the final product of the puppet stage I am working on, and maybe if I can get at least one skit up every once in a while, I will.
