1 Peter 5:8
[8]Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
It always feels like two steps forward: 1 step back in our lives. I’m not sure where to start or what I actually want to share about the hardships we have been facing lately. All I know really is that every time we get some good news, it is followed almost immediately by horrible news. Hey, your military disability has increased, but your payment for this bill is now running twice, and the water bill is 500 more than usual because the toilet has been running, and you haven’t heard it.
Sometimes, it’s hard to sit back and say “God is good” when everything around you is falling apart. I have been saving up for a Missions trip this spring and twice now when I had the money I needed for my plane ticket. We all of the sudden needed the money for something else important. My military disability finally jumped up, but not to 100% with every visit I have every doctor asks why it isn’t already there, but hey, they don’t decide that some expert in a little room in Washington D.C. does that.
Keep your head up, and not giving in is the hard part. The truth is if it was that easy, don’t you think you might be doing the wrong thing? I have been down easy street it’s nice for a bit, but then you realize you’re alone with nobody there to bless you. Nobody in your corner to turn to when the going gets a little tough. When you’re following God’s path, you can always turn to him and ask for help when you need it, and He will be there. You may not get the help you wanted, but it will be the help you need.
Remember, if you’re getting attacked by the Devil, it means you’re doing something that he doesn’t like. If he doesn’t like it, that means you’re doing something to further the will of the Father. Don’t give in to the devils attacks. Instead, take it as a challenge to do battle with him. Just remember God is your second in this duel, and he will never lose .
