1 Timothy 6:6-8
[6]But godliness with contentment is great gain.
[7]For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
[8]And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
In the past, I have been known to work, work, and work some more. Me and my family are guilty of wanting that next “thing.” Many days, we stress over where we will get the money to do this or that. The sad part is when we stop and say, “Remember those months in Kansas City where we literally lived off whatever tip I got that night.” We bought food off that tip, and I got just enough gas to go to work, hoping for another tip. We were not living paycheck to paycheck. We were living 5 dollars at a time, and life crashed on us so hard we had to reset completely. We no longer live like that, and even when it seems like we are poor, we aren’t that poor.
I want to throw the gauntlet down this year for not only my family but all others to be more content in the things that we have. We may want that next special thing, but in all honesty, we will not die if we do not get it. Trusting in God to provide our needs and not stressing the little things is going to be the theme of 2025 for me and my family. We are excited to start this blog and share with the world our journey through this strange world and let you join us as we look for God intentions for this family.
We pray each and every person who reads this has a blessed day and we will pray that your 2025 is a journey of growth in God for your life.
